Hi! My name is Rachel. I’m a student at the University of Oklahoma, a writer, and a lover of many things. My miscellaneous collections (read as: hoardes) prove either that, or that I am, in fact, a dragon. I will soon be an editor at the OUdaily, a job that is wonderful for me because I enjoy finding faults in other people’s grammar (even though I make errors myself occasionally). I believe we can all write beautifully if we remember where to put our commas. Above all, I am a lover of cats, food, and new ideas.
I started this blog because, as an INFP, I like ideas, but I’m not always so keen on talking about them to people. I like to write out my ideas. I feel that I sound better on paper, or in this case, on a screen. (If anyone finds a way to easily mail my blog posts to people, let me know. I really do enjoy paper.) I live a life that seems busy to me, and if my head gets too busy, it will implode. Writing helps. It is my hope that you will be able to connect with something I have said, or perhaps use something I have said to spark a new thought of your own. If that ever happens, let me know! Until then, I’ll continue trying to figure out what is going on in my head. I believe in compassion, in Jesus, and in the goodness that can still be glimpsed in the people around us. I hope you’ll join me as I find the mountain.
